Native of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, my family originates from Scotland - you can admire the clan tartan above. I have lived in Paris for many years.

I am one of the founder members of the "Réunions Group", some of whom you can admire below on our last visit to our favourite restaurant, le Château-Poivre.

If your French is good enough, you can spend a pleasant hour reading our magazine:

l'Union des Potes

Admire the web pages of some other members of the group:

For a quiet dinner or business lunch, why not try the Villa Giulia (pronounce Julia). Line and her team will welcome you for a good meal in pleasant surroundings, chosen from the wide selection on the menu. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere of this restaurant has made it a meeting place to which you will wish to return, along with all of us regulars. Ask for the menu in English translated by yours truly.

If you happen to be in the Cherbourg Peninsula, take the D902 from Barneville-Carteret towards Briquebec, and drop in on Monsieur and Madame Marc Burnouf at the Maison du Biscuit. They will be pleased to have you taste their delicious home-made traditional Normandy biscuits. You can also order them by phone, fax or post as birthday or Christmas presents, or simply to tide you over between visits.

Come and admire our new decor with the olde worlde baker's shop and rustic furniture. Relax to piano music in the tea-room.

I am a member of the French affiliate of IPPNW, the physicians' association which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1985.

This page is not yet completed. Anyway, I just like that little man digging!
